Praises...
My baby brother Doshy is 22! Ok, Happy Birthday, Dosh, you old man! I'm very thankful that you where a late in the game addition to our family, I can't imagine life without you!
Songs for Dosh...there are so many that I could connect to you, but these two always make me think of you and smile. (and maybe get a little teary too!)
Wow..I'm having a hard time with this today, bare with me...Dosh is the biggy, is he big enough for one whole day? Give me a minute...I'll think of some more!
Husbands who do dishes!
Kids who still take naps!
Long lost cousins who drop in on their aunt and uncle and spend good quality time. (even if said cousins feel this writer/cousin sucks because she didn't come home to see them!)
Long late night talks with Mom.
Moms who don't go to bed early!
Being able to trust that even when you feel like there are a lot of things spinning out of control there is faith enough to know that they don't have to be in control, because that is not your job.
Let go, Let God....
I let go and just stumbled onto one of my girlfriend's blogs and just so happened it was enough to make me giggle so for that I'm adding....
Funny things that happen in other peoples houses that they throw out into blog land to amuse those of us in need of a little end of the day laughter. Maybe one day when I figure out how, I'll connect that story right here...
Quotes & video moments...
"He my baby brother? He my baby Finny? He my baby!"
"He gonna run with me, he gonna chase me! He gonna ride my bike and my scooter! He gonna ride my motorcycle too!"
"Ok, my Finny, let go play wif my gerotracks" Dax, early morning ramble...
Listening to my children discuss future plans....
Lily with her high hopes of living in a one bedroom house in Peoria with her 10 animals teaching 1st grade. (She did later say that really wasn't her goal, but she had to write something down so that was it...oh Lord!)
Dax who has now changed his goal of doing "God's work" to living a life "carrying GiGi (his giraffe) and sucking binky all day" Wow...
I did have hope for a moment when Lily said "Well then Finn will be president" until she added "of a Garbage truck company". Sigh...I guess that'll save me the Harvard tuition!

A church where your kids are so content and feel so loved that they don't want to leave.

A church where your kids are so content and feel so loved that they don't want to leave.
Watching a daddy building GeoTrax with his munchkins.
Sunday afternoon naps where everyone is quiet at the same time!!
Big girls who think of little girls on Snowy Sunday afternoons and invite them to play in the snow.
Power outages that let you laugh at how little your children understand what life would have been like long ago!
Dancing in the dark instead of watching the Superbowl.
Power outages being a rare occurance instead of a way of life.
TV coming on just in time to see the baby investor commercials.

Laughing at the thought of your Dad being pushed through Walmart in a wheel chair by your Mom while she's on the cell phone. (this one should also be in the video moments) Just because it's on my praise list doesn't mean it couldn't have been torture for others...mean, I know.
A husband who can talk politics with you..an adult conversation! Wow!
Quotes & video moments...
"Hehehehehehe that baby spit up!" Dax commentary on Superbowl commercial
"I got 4 Snooffies" Dax, on his prized collection of Burger King Snoopys
Lily, Dax, and Finn dancing to the battery powered radio in the candle light!
Finn, how social is he! Waving "hello", "bye bye" and even "come here". Saying "Bubba" to Dax, giving Lily big slobbery kisses.
Finn Dancing...this has got to get on tape! Any sign of music and the boy is going!

Praises...
Hope...sometimes seems when you're about to give up a fresh breath blows in. Even when it doesn't go just your way, that little rush of hope is a great feeling!
Snow Days! When the ground is covered with nine inches of white glittery powder and all the days activities get cancelled! It's great when it just shows up out of the blue every great once in a while!
Having a daughter who will step up and be a great help when I am feeling a little bit icky. Playing with her little brothers with no fighting or yelling...what a gift!
Today was one of those days I am so thankful to have my daughter around. Sometimes I think I get so easily frustrated and well, she is nine...that I forget how kind she can be, how much help she can offer, and really what a great kid she is. Thank you Lord for those moments where I get to remember!
Silly kids TV shows that are so over the top that it's kind of like a train wreck, no one can help but watch..which provides me with 20 minutes of quiet!
Husbands that get up at 8 and shovel the driveway.
Friends who think of you and love you enough to try to work out your babysitting dilemas for you!
Brothers who call you for no reason and make you laugh. Even when they do harrass you later!
Quiet Friday nights with my kids, watching movies, reading books.
Quotes & scenarios I wish I had on video...
"Baby Ben is Sick" Dax
"Baby Ben must go to the doctor, I will take him in my car" Dax
"Dress me up pretty" Lily's doll carseat
"Ben says he so pretty...heheheheh" Dax
"I love you so much" doll seat
"Ben says he loves me so much, Mom!" Dax
"I'm so hungry" Doll Seat
"He sooooo hungry mom, I need feed Ben!" Dax
Then he proceeds to drop the seat and Ben on his head and go get himself some Nemo fruit snacks...screw Ben...well, he was nurturing for a while!
Yogurt in both the dog's fur and Finn's hair..Dax was decorating them.
All three of my children watching Yo Gabba Gabba as if it had some sort of hold on them...all of them dancing, just a tad as they watch..who created this weirdness and how'd they get the guy from Good Times to host it?
27 kisses and hug routine from bedtime Dax.
Finn chasing trains and dancing. Too bad he's not overly quotable yet.
Lily's cat poop Valentines card...what creativity. sigh...

Praises...
Friends who help you get your kids and all their crap to the car!
Having a roof over my head and warmth around me. Sometimes in my quest for a newer or better, bigger roof, I forget to stop and be greatful that my family is snuggled in their beds in a home that is comfortable and warm as the winter snow falls around us.
Taking the time to stop and look for the path God is trying to lead me on.
Having friends who are looking for their own path and helping me to brush off mine on their way.
A dog who acts as a baby gate...gotta love the dual action vacuum & gate!
A husband who starts the van, wipes off the windows and shovels a path to my door so I can leave him with the kids to do church stuff.
A husband who doesn't consider me leaving him with the kids "babysitting".
The beauty of the winter snow sparkling in the starlight, that is God all around us!
Dax, "No! That not your baby brother, that My baby brother!!"
Ok, so he's not exactly getting that we're not just his!
"Max, Please come here, Max!" Ok, so it's not out of this world but the voice was so sweet, and hey look, he has manners...gotta love that in a two year old!
Memories I wish I had on tape...(maybe this will one day at least conjure up the mental tape!)
Dax Growling the words to "I love you as much" "grrrr Said the Mother bear to her child" etc....
Standing alone in the church parking lot as the snow falls in the dark, love that snow globe feeling!
Sitting on the floor reading books with a two year old and having him ask me to sing to him...that probably won't last long, he still thinks I sing well!
Finn and his "kisses for the Mama" Oh, baby kisses are definitely the best!

"You are My Mommy! That is My baby brother Finny!" Dax, seeming to just get that we in someway belong to him.

Praises for the day...
Sleeping in till 8:45 with both my boys still sleeping!
Realizing now that morning snuggles won't be a forever thing, but house cleaning will be, and taking full advantage of willing little snugglers!
Making that realization now instead of 10 years from now.
Friends who let you slide and don't make you feel bad when you've got other stuff going on, even when you were sure they were really thinking you sucked!
Days that are supposed to be busy but suddenly, without reason open up.
A camera that doesn't make me wait!
Invitations to parties even when you can't go.
Phone calls that every evening let me feel for just a little bit like I'm sitting at my mom's kitchen table.
Moments I wish I had on tape...
The boys first real wrestling match. I, of course, did photograph it!
Dax's voice! I know it won't stay like this forever, but I could just eat it up now!

Praises of the day...
Snuggling with two little boys in the early morning hours. Watching them giggle and smile at each other and make faces at me. I hope they make each other laugh for many many years!
Living in a place where dreaming about the possibilities is part of our daily lives..
Learning that your two year old can count to 13 and you didn't even know it!
Little girls doing chores without being asked.
Seeing real progress in the daily nag level! It's going down, it's really going down!
Having a professional ask my professional opinion..forgot what it was like!
Chilling out about preschool.
Watching my husband interacting with the baby...sigh....love those games & giggles.
Another season of American Idol...and the return of One Tree Hill (yes, TV can make the praise list...even silly TV!)
Hearing my Dad's voice late at night yelling hello....knowing he stayed up to watch American Idol too!
Quotes of the day...
"I poke him in his eye? But, I waaaaannnnt to poke his eye!" He didn't but it take take some convincing!
"Wow gghhmm mmmaaammem ddddd babbbbb" Finn, with wild excitement as he laid eyes upon the line of geotrax men Dax had set up.
"Don't touch it, Finny, don't you dawwwwwwe (dare) touch it!" Dax, on seeing Finn's excitement.
"Well, I fell in the mud and the boys teased me about peeing my pants, I lost Polly(a tiny plastic dog, that is rather ugly) and other than that, basically boring, so overall bad." Lily on "how was your day at school?".
Things I'd love to see continue on...
Obsession with trains rather than guns or ugly things. Playing together!
Parental Shout outs after American Idol.

Praises of the Day...
Little Boys that sleep in their own bed all night!
Catching up with good friends.
Little miracles sent from above when least expected.
Friends who listen and don't laugh too hard when you call them many times and forget half of what you needed because pms has sucked out your brain.
Two year olds that put themselves down for nap.
Husbands that cook dinner and do the dishes all in the same night!
Daughters who spend peaceful moments playing on Webkinz with their little brother & his monkey without being asked.
Mothers who end phone calls with "I love you" for no real reason.
Quotes of the day...
"Shhhh....we need to be quiet so we don't wake my Finny up." Dax...he finally got it!
"Finn really doesn't like boxes on his head, or Bumbo seats on his head, or blankets, or your feet, or really anything on his head for that matter" Me, trying to convince Dax that anything on Finn's head is really not the best idea.
Best moment I wish I had on tape... A naked Budda like Finn sitting on the ottoman clapping his hands and dancing in a rocking, bouncing type patttern while we sang silly songs.
Help I wish would continue...Dax standing beside me doing dishes, not spreading water throughout the kitchen! Just simply enjoying washing dishes with his mom.....how lojng can this possibly last?

And so we Begin...
Ok, so here are my goals...
Someday to figure out how to add pictures and layout this blog so that it is pretty like my friends.
Make my writing here "light" so that the idea of sitting down and doing it on a regular basis is not overwhelming.
To create a place for me to remember all those little joys each day, an online praise journal type idea, so on bad days check in and be reminded of all the great things that occur on this journey.
To eventually share this with friends so if they feel like jumping into my head they can..and if not I won't be offended because it's really for me anyway (isn't everything....hehehe).
To share pictures of my world for those family members out there that are too far away to see as much as I wish they could!
To spell as many words correctly as I possibly can without asking Mike (maybe even remembering to use spell check....that's kind of asking a lot...we'll see!).
Ok, I think that wraps it up...I have goals! I have started, yeah!!

Ok, these are not in order, I haven't totally figured out how to manuver them yet so you'll have to forgive me! I'll give you the characters for everything in the Page household and you can try to attach the names to the people.
You know us...the only Tewksburys in this house
Marci's parents ~ Dan & Debby

Marci's brother, Dosh & girlfriend, Jessy
All may not be pictured, but I'll catch up with them later...I promise!
